On Monday December 11 Carrie Louise Sawyer, eldest daughter of Mr. Charles Sawyer
passed away. The funeral was at the home on Wednesday. The Harvard male quartet of Boston
gave four selections: Cast Thy Burden on The Lord; Eternal Goodness; Lord Kindly Light and
The Beautiful Isle of Somewhere.
Five sons and one daughter are left to the mother, who has the sympathy of many in another
bereavement.

The funeral services of Miss Carrie Louise, daughter of the late Charles E. and
Sarah Maria Sawyer took place at the home on Oak Hill on Wednesday, December 13. Miss
Sawyer has been of delicate constitution for sometime and of late has been confined to
her bed with a severe stomach trouble. She was thought to be improving and her death
came as a sudden shock to the family. She was of a fine nature and was very highly
respected by all who knew her. Rev. J.G. Miller officiated at the service assisted by Rev. J.S. Gove.

The Harvard quartet of Boston furnished the music.
She was thirty years and five months of age. Burial was in Bellevue.
