Herbert Sawyer History Herbert Edmund Sawyer was born in Roxbury Mass. (part of Boston) Oct 6, 1878 to Charles and Sarah Sawyer. The familly moved to Harvard.Mass after his father became ill in the late 1890s and lived with his grand parents Joseph Kendall and Sarah Willard. He Married Lucy Hosmer Dec. 16, 1902 Herbert moved to Lyons Iliinois where the 1910 census shows he worked as a jobber for a stationary company. The 1920 census has him as Treasure of Wausau Abrasives where his brother Perley was CEO and two of his brothers , Joseph and Charles also worked. In 1922 he became Treasure for MacWhyte Company of Kenosha, Wi. He rose to be Vice President of Sales - Treasure. He died in Hollywood Fla. Dec. 28 1952.
