Henry Willard
Fourth son of Simon Willard and Mary Dunster born at Concord, MA June 4, 1655

He married first wife Mary Lakin July 18, 1675, dau. of William Lakin of Groton. They had seven children. She died in 1688.

He married his second wife, Dorcas Cutler, in 1689. They also had seven children. Dorcus survived her husband and became the wife of Benjamin Bellows of Lancaster onJan 5 of 1704 or 1705.

Henry Willard had a large estate. At one time he occupied one of the garrison houses in Lancaster. He died. Aug. 27, 1701. His children, some of whom were men of note, speak well for the character of Henry Willard.

The Henry Willard house was at 259 Still River Road Harvard. Henry Willard House.

Dorcas (Willard) Bellows, December 27, I ~r 4, deeded to Samuel Willard, her eldest son,
"fourteen acres on the south side of the fenced field at a place called ye Still Riu[v]er ffarme on ye west side of the highway, where his late Honoured ffather, Henry Willard, some time lived . . . . also all the Dwelling house which was his ffathers." 'This dwelling was on the east side of the highway.
